Actual inventory photographs, prepared for the web without changing the originals.
What these images are
This build uses 2668 photographs for 1453 SS-numbered sarees. They are photographs of the catalogued inventory items, not generic reference pictures. The same photographs appear on product cards, product galleries, homepage features and occasion tiles.
Full-resolution originals stay in src/assets/images/. The storefront uses
generated WebP derivatives from src/assets/catalog/, created by
python tools/sync-inventory.py. Both image directories are excluded from Git.
Usage rights still need business confirmation. The local catalogue should only be published where the supplier has authorized use of its photographs.
How descriptions are handled
Folder names and webpage descriptions use visible characteristics—color, motif or pattern, and border. A photograph cannot verify fibre, weaving method, dimensions or provenance, so the product pages identify those details as awaiting supplier confirmation.
