About this saree

Standard laundry detergent contains enzymes that digest protein, and silk and wool are protein fibres — which is why an ordinary wash dulls a silk saree. This is pH-neutral with no enzymes and no optical brighteners, so it cleans without eating the fibre or shifting the colour. One capful in four litres of cold water.

Store below 25°C, out of reach of children.

Store folded in a breathable cotton or muslin bag, never in plastic — trapped damp is what yellows silk.
Refold along different lines once a year so permanent creases do not set into the same place.
Blot spills, never rub. Rubbing lifts the surface fibres and leaves a dull patch.
